Certification Courses
The New York Housing Association, in cooperation with the Department of State, is providing training opportunities to meet the requirements of the Manufactured Housing Advancement Act. All registrations for training of industry personnel need to be done through the Association.
The following link will take you to the Department of State website where you can find manufactured housing forms (Application for Certification, Application for Warranty Seals, etc.) as well as a copy of the regulation:

Certification Courses
Format includes 21B Initial Training in the morning and Continuing Education or Mechanics Training in the afternoon. Installers will take their initial training online prior to attending the 21B Course.

Installers Training Available Online!
The New York Manufactured Housing Installation Certification Course is now available online. To register, click here. Click on Manufactured Home Installation-Online Training, then choose the New York course.
The $240 registration fee includes the course guidebook,21B Introductory Course registration fee and final exam. Course registrants have up to three months to complete the Online Training Course. Once succesfully completed, they will need to register for the 21B Course (fee included) and take the final written exam after the 21B Course.
To qualify for Installer Certification in New York State, one must complete the full training course successfully (online and onsite) and pass the final written exam. For more information on qualifications for certification as an installer in New York State, contact the Manufactured Housing Unit at the NYS Department of State Division of Code Enforcement and Administration at 518-474-4073 or follow this link to their website.
