Certification CoursesThe New York Housing Association, in cooperation with the Department of State, is providing training opportunities to meet the requirements of the Manufactured Housing Advancement Act. All registrations for training of industry personnel need to be done through the Association. The following link will take you to the Department of State website where you can find manufactured housing forms (Application for Certification, Application for Warranty Seals, etc.) as well as a copy of the regulation: NYS Dept. of State Manufactured Housing Program
Combined Courses:
3-Hour Certification Introductory Course, 6-Hour Mechanics Course, and NYS Manufactured Housing 13-Hour Installer's Certification Courses:
Under current NYS regulations, a total of 16-hours training is required for Installer Certification.This two-day course combines the 3-Hour Introductory Course and the 13-Hour two-day Installer's Course.The 3-Hour course will begin at 9 a.m. and finish at 12 p.m., followed by the Installer's Course. The course will continue on the second day with classroom instruction and an afternoon visit to a field location for practical application of the curriculum. Attendees will return to the host location, where an exam will be given in the afternoon.
