DMV82TON - FAQs

The Association receives many questions regarding the titling of manufactured homes in New York. To help address these inquiries, we collaborated with the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to develop a list of Frequently Asked Questions.

We plan to post these FAQs on our website once the Title Surrender framework has been fully implemented. DMV currently anticipates that the Title Surrender process will be in place by December 2026 and is working with County Clerks across the state to finalize the implementation process.

We will continue to keep you informed as additional updates become available.
